Our purpose
Ghidra's official project provides source code, release assets, documentation, and security advisories. New users can still be unsure which GitHub asset is runnable, whether Windows needs an EXE, which Java version is required, or why macOS and Linux behave differently. This site turns those recurring questions into direct, current installation guidance.
The homepage prioritizes the latest verified release, filename, byte size, publication date, runtime requirement, SHA-256 checksum, and official source. Platform pages explain the same upstream archive without inventing separate installers. The goal is to reduce risky mirror downloads and prevent avoidable setup failures.
How releases are verified
Version facts are checked against the NationalSecurityAgency/ghidra GitHub Releases API and tagged official documentation. For Ghidra 12.1.2, the site records the PUBLIC ZIP, June 5, 2026 publication date, 572,803,866-byte asset size, JDK 21 requirement, and SHA-256 value published in the release notes.
Download buttons point directly to the official GitHub asset after a visible 15-second countdown. We do not host, modify, rename, compress, wrap, or repackage Ghidra. Users can see the destination in the page markup and use the official release link when JavaScript is unavailable.
Editorial standards
- Prefer official Ghidra releases, tagged documentation, and security advisories as primary sources.
- Separate verified release facts from practical recommendations and platform-dependent examples.
- Do not claim that a file is vulnerability-free, malware-scanned, or endorsed by the NSA.
- Explain when package-manager builds, extensions, mirrors, and installers are maintained by third parties.
- Update affected version, filename, checksum, compatibility, metadata, and installation references together.

Corrections and contact
Software releases and requirements change. If a page contains a stale version, broken official link, incorrect platform statement, or unclear source attribution, email support@ghidradownload.wiki. Include the page URL and an official source supporting the correction when possible.
We review corrections against first-party evidence before updating download facts. Support cannot authorize reverse engineering, assess whether a target may legally be analyzed, or provide guarantees about third-party extensions.
